Shuanglin Elastomeric expansion joint also called Bolt-down panel joints, consists of molded elastomeric panels reinforced with steel plates as shown in fig. They are bolted into the block outs formed in the concrete bridge deck and each side of an expansion joint gap. Bolt-down panels can be fabricated in varying widths proportional to the total allowable movement range. Normally used for movement ranges of 38 to 330mm by shear deformation of the elastomer between the steel components.
◆ Corrosive resistant elastomer casing
◆ Water Tightness and Anti-Skidding
◆ Movement accommodates up to 330mm
◆ Minimum 2.5mm rubber covering of steel
◆ Steel edges are rounded to avoid rubber damage from impact load
◆ Additional steel surrounded to fixing slots to avoid load transfer steel to anchors
◆ Special secondary heavy duty washers prevent loss of torque on fixings
◆ Bridge decks
◆ Service Ramps
◆ Car parks
